In Wilmington the sheriff department dismissed Lt. Joseph A. Leblanc who was an 18 year veteran for violating department policies of truthfulness, evidence and drugs. He could be facing criminal charges. The department is going to be thoroughly looking at several cases that could possibly be impacted by his actions.


NC bill would possibly do away with handgun permits. The bill approved in the Senate Judiciary committee still requires a permit to carry concealed handguns but expands the places those weapons ca be taken.


Hepatitis A cases are rising and frozen fruits are the suspected cause .A hepatitis A outbreak linked to a frozen fruit mix commonly used in smoothies has grown over the past week, from 34 to 87. The cases have been reported in eight states, up from five: Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Washington.
