AHHHHHH so I think I found my new spot downtown to get work done, eat good and most importantly NETWORK. My class went to Beyú last week for lunch. The owner Dorian Bolden spoke with us and two other awesome individuals gave us some advice also. Bolden’s story was pretty cool because he started off in finance like WALL STREET finance. I am not going to go into detail but along the way he decided he wanted to quit finance and pursue entrepreneurship. He did that by not just opening any restaurant but one that consisted of things he enjoyed which is jazz, coffee, and good food. Something that I learned from him was “by any means necessary” and a “no is a potential yes”. No matter how things may look to the human eye always step out on faith keep digging for the diamonds you do not see.
